2 Types of Caregivers

There are two types of caregivers: Formal caregivers and Informal caregivers. Formal caregivers are trained workers, who get paid to help take care of people. Formal Caregiver:

Non Formal Caregiver

Compared to the above, informal caregivers provide unpaid care out of love, duty, or necessity. They play a vital role in supporting individuals who need assistance with daily activities. Examples include:

• Family Caregivers – Relatives who care for ageing parents, children with special needs, or sick family members.
• Volunteer Caregivers – Community members who offer free caregiving services through organisations or charities.
