This qualification is nationally recognised and awarded by Pearson and Edexcel. It is based on the Construction Skills National Occupational Standards (NOS). This qualification is suitable for employees in the Construction and the Built environment sector working across a wide range of areas. It is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace where learners are required to demonstrate skills and knowledge to a level required in the construction industry. Our assessor will ask you to gather evidence which will prove your competence against 7 mandatory units and 1 optional unit as well as their assessment criteria.

NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Planning Course Specification 

Types of evidence include:

1. Direct observation of the learner’s performance by their assessor 

2. Outcomes from oral or written questioning 

3. Products of the learner’s work 

4. Personal statements and/or reflective accounts 

5. Outcomes from simulation, where permitted by the Assessment Strategy 

6. Professional discussion 

7. Authentic statements/witness testimony 

8. Expert witness testimony 

9. Evidence of Recognition of Prior Learning 

Learners can use one piece of evidence to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and understanding across multiple assessment criteria or units. This means that it’s not required to assess each criterion separately. Your assessor will request the necessary evidence from you, upload it to the platform, and then cross-reference it against the relevant assessment criteria. Once all the evidence has been gathered and evaluated on the platform, it will undergo internal verification and then be reviewed by Edexcel before your Diploma Certificate is issued. 

Upon enrolling in the NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Quantity Surveying, you will attend an induction meeting on Fridayto familiarise yourself with the Moodle platform and its functions. During this time, you will also gain access to the City and Guilds Learning Assistant, where you will begin building your portfolio.

You will have an assessor meeting to guide you through the process, including a professional discussion where you can ask any questions you may have. We aim to deliver the course within 1-3 months, although this timeline depends on various factors beyond our control.
